Today is Christmas! I'm writing to you because you are finally old enough to appreciate Christmas and I have enjoyed watching you get excited about everything this season.
You adore the lights on the tree. We also put garland with lights on the railing in the kitchen, and it has a touch-plate on it, which we put right where you can reach it. You play with it a lot!
Our tree is missing quite a few ornaments. You call them "pe baw" (pretty balls) and, if I'm not on top of things, you tear them from the tree and toss them all over the room. You also like to chew on them and squish them if you can. We were smart in that we remembered to put all the glass and important ornaments at the top of the tree!

We got our family season zoo passes for Christmas this year, and it has been such a blast! We always go to see the monkeys. You love to watch them swing; it makes you giggle. You also love seeing the elephants. They have two baby elephants that are just oh-so-cute! Whenever you see the elephants, you raise your arm like a trunk and let out a super high-pitched trumpet. You trumpet at them and wave your trunk around the entire time we are looking at them.
1/9/15 Annnnd....I have no idea what else I was planning to write. Christmas that year was fun, but obviously I got distracted from this post. Please don't take this as an evidence that I don't love you. I really do love you!
Love,
Mama
